On February 6, 2025, representatives of 9 universities from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan and Ukraine summed up the results of the network’s activities for 2023-2024 and discussed proposals for further cooperation that will form the basis of the network’s activities in 2025.

The participants proposed in 2025 to pay special attention to:
– Developing a realistic mechanism for paying membership fees
– Online events on current issues of nuclear energy – webinars, conferences for young scientists and students
– Joint research projects
– Assistance to partner universities in the development of curricula and their implementation
– Development of the dual degree system among the universities of the network
– Creation of general Master’s degree programs [nuclear power engineering, management in the nuclear industry (INMA), etc.]
– Joint distance learning courses and exchange of experience on using the STAR-NET LMS platform
– Improvement of information exchange and replenishment of the electronic archive
– Participation in the activities of the IAEA, the CTBTO and other regional nuclear education networks.

The General Assembly recommended that member universities consider participating in the new INPRO IAEA cooperation project “Building Capacity in Strategic Planning for Sustainable Nuclear Energy Through Educational Programmes”, which was launched at the end of 2024.
