In October 2024, educational laboratory complex Atomic Keeper Education was commissioned at the Department of Nuclear and Radiation Safety of the International Sakharov Environmental Institute of the Belarusian State University.
The educational laboratory complex is designed to gain practical skills in accounting for and control of nuclear materials at facilities and LOFs, radiation sources and radioactive wastes. Nowadays, the complex includes several dozen different laboratory tasks that simulate accounting for and control of actions at the installations of the NPP-2006 project.
The complex simulates real cases with operations of receiping/shipment, movement, change of isotope composition, material losses, etc. You could train practical skills in physical inventory and inspections, and also use it to study the requirements for maintaining the accounting for and reporting documentation for the national regulatory authority and the IAEA. In all simulated cases operations with tamper indication devices are supported.
The educational laboratory complex Atomic Keeper Education is an open system which allow to simulate other types of installations, configure operations, layout of premises and equipment and a list of related documentation.
