On 12 February 2018 the traditional pre-diploma internship for the 5th year students of the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU), who are studying in the specialty “Steam Turbine Installations of Nuclear Power Plants”, has begun at the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R. E. Alexeyev.

The BNTU students undergo pre-diploma internship on the basis of the Institute of Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Physics in the areas of
(1) hydrodynamics of fuel assemblies and nuclear installations with a water coolant and
(2) the design and experimental justification of a straightening device in pumps for liquid metal reactors for low- and medium-power plant.

The pre-diploma internship should help each student to collect data for preparing and defending a diploma thesis, as well as to give them knowledge and skills that will be applied after graduation at the first Belarusian nuclear power plant.
